Sailing Camp Necessities
Injury/Illness
Camp instructors are first aid and CPR certified. Instructors are also certified by U.S. Sailing.
If an incident occurs, staff members will provide immediate treatment appropriate to their level of certification or contact Emergency Medical Services for advanced treatment. ECSC will contact you as soon as possible. Please ensure your emergency contact information is correct and up to date.
If your camper has a fever, is vomiting, or is not feeling well enough for vigorous physical activity, please keep them home.
Medication
Camp instructors can remind campers to take their medications. However, instructors cannot administer any medications. Please make sure your camper is well prepared each day.
Bring
Life jacket
Each camper must bring AND wear a U.S. Coast Guard-approved PFD (personal flotation device).
Lunch and snacks
No food is provided. We provide bottled water.
Sunscreen
Sunscreen will not be provided. We will remind campers to apply each morning and after lunch.
Clothing
wear appropriate, layered clothing for active water sports
bring a complete change of clothes, including socks and underwear
closed-toe tennis shoes or water shoes
open-toed sandals or flip flops are not appropriate for sailing
eyeglass leash if needed

Do Not Bring
Please leave all electronics, toys, jewelry, and expensive clothing at home. Electronic devices are not permitted at camp.
If your camper needs to have a cell phone to contact you, please instruct them to leave it in their backpack during camp.
